The Ecarus solar system is a 12 planet system near the edge of the Gehrel galaxy cluster. It has five inner rocky planets followed by the Kettle Belt, a debris field of asteroids and left over planetery bits ejected in the system's youth many billions of years ago. It is followed by 5 gas giants of varying sizes and another debris belt by the name of XXX. After that, are the X remaining rocky, freezing worlds of the outer planets.

Inar is the third planet from its sun. It is small, with an equitorial circumference of about 13,000 miles, and mostly covered by vast, saltwater oceans. There are four continental landmasses on the planet, the southern most continent is small and partially engulfed by the southern ice cap. The other three continents are clustered close to each other in a swirl-like pattern. These contients feature a wide array of biomes that range from rainforest to deserts to temperate grasslands to high mountains.
